An eight-person delegation led by Prof. Wasna Sirirungsi, Dean, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University, Thailand, visited the School of Biomedical Sciences on 7 December 2015.
This is the first time that the representatives of Chiang Mai University visited our School. The guests were warmly welcomed by Prof. Chan Wai-yee, School Director, Prof. Fung Kwok-pui, Associate Director (Administration), Prof. Woody W.Y. Chan, Associate Director (Graduate Education) and Prof. Kenneth K.H. Lee, Managing Director of Core Laboratories. A meeting was held for discussing research collaborations and students exchange between Chiang Mai University and the School. Following the meeting, the delegation was guided by Prof. Lee to tour the Core Laboratories at Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building.
After the visit, both parties agreed to explore the possibility of developing a collaborative agreement in the hope of facilitating more academic collaborations as well as exchange of research staff and students between the two institutions in the future.
