2020 Monash-CUHK PhD Exchange Virtual Symposium was successfully held online on 7 August 2020. The Symposium showcased the collaborative research projects undertaken by the Ph.D. students co-supervised by Principal Investigators from the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) or other clinical departments of CUHK, and Monash University (Monash), Australia. The participating students presented the updated research findings of their projects, covering the fields of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine, innovative medical devices and cardiology.

Our School has taken part in the mutual visits to and exchange with Monash since 2016 (see the related coverage HERE and also the 1^st joint symposium in 2018 HERE). In 2017, the CUHK – Monash Alliance in Medical Education and Research was established as a cross-regional integrated collaboration to co-develop and co-invest in thematic areas of shared excellence in medical education and research. The synergistic collaborations are expected to lead to the development of high impact research programs and innovative medical education platforms.
