Well-attended by senior secondary school students, the topic that Prof. Chan addressed during the public lecture was “Boys with Early Puberty: The Clinical Application of Biomedical Research”, illustrating how biomedical research could make precise diagnosis of boys with early puberty and cause a change in the management of patients with this disorder.

Through delivering public lecture to senior secondary school students, it is hoped that they will gain a better understanding on the study of Biomedical Sciences, and their interests in this subject area can be further enhanced and explored .  Besides, the participating students could be encouraged to apply for our School’s first undergraduate programme – the BSc in Biomedical Sciences Programme, which will admit its first intake in September 2016, and at the same time our teaching staff could elaborate to them about the curriculum and career prospect after graduation.
