Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS):

For applicants who apply for PhD programme through the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS), please note the application deadline is 2 December 2019. Applications to School of Biomedical Sciences:

For applicants who apply for Articulated MPhil-PhD Programme in Biomedical Sciences directly with The Chinese University of Hong Kong (i.e. non-HKPFS applicants), please note the application deadline is 15 January 2020. All application materials including Confidential Recommendations and results of English tests have to reach the Division Office (Room G03, LO Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building, Area 39, The Chinese University of Hong Kong) on or before 15 January 2020.

Postgraduate Studentships/Scholarships
CUHK offers Postgraduate Studentships (PGS) for up to 2 years to all full-time MPhil students and for up to 4 years to all full-time PhD students. The PGS for 2019-20 is HK$17,330 (approx. US$2,200) per month. A number of scholarships and funding schemes are available to support full-time MPhil and PhD students to conduct overseas academic activities such as presenting papers at international conferences, conducting field trips and engaging in data collection projects.

Tuition Waiver Scheme for Local Research Postgraduate Students
Starting from the 2018-19 academic year, the Government has been granting a tuition waiver to all current and newly admitted local full-time research postgraduate (RPg) students enrolled in UGC-funded RPg programmes for their entire normative study period.
