Biography

Dr. CHEUNG Wing Shing David (張永成) obtained his B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from The Chinese University of Hong Kong where his research initially focused on eye anatomy and later on developing novel drugs from natural products and herbal medicines for treating cardiovascular diseases, metabolic syndrome, and bacterial infections. Prior to joining the School of Biomedical Sciences, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dr. Cheung held research and academic posts in the tertiary education sector for more than eight years. He has extensive experience in teaching basic medical science subjects as well as curriculum design and management.
