On 16 December 2010, seven members of the delegation from the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) including Prof. (and Mrs.) Sheng-Li Yang, Prof. (and Mrs.) Yong-Su Zhen and Prof. Hong-Yang Wang, Academicians, Division of Health Engineering, CAE; Mr. Wei Chen, Director of Office of CAE (Shenzhen) Activity Base; Ms. Hai-Yan Xu, Bureau of the International Cooperation of CAE, visited the School of Biomedical Sciences. The visitors met with representatives from our School including Prof. Wai-Yee Chan, Director; Prof. Woody Chan, Associate Director (Graduate Education); Prof. Ge Lin; Prof. Franky Chan; Prof. Christopher Cheng; Prof. Gang Li; Prof. Kenneth Lee; Prof. Wing-Ho Yung and Prof. Ya Ke. At the meeting, the visitors were briefed on the latest development of our School. They also actively discussed possible areas for future collaboration.
The visit to our School was part of the “CAE Academicians Visit Programme 2010”, organized by The Chinese University of Hong Kong between 15 and 18 December 2010. The CAE delegation comprised 12 members who were arranged to meet with the University’s Senior Administration and representatives from the Faculties of Medicine, Engineering and Science.
