The School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) received a 19-member delegation from Peking University, China, which was coordinated by the Office of Academic Links (China) (OALC) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) as one of the stops in their visit to the CUHK on 30 November 2016.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Christopher H.K. Cheng, Associate Director (Undergraduate Education), Prof. Fung Kwok-pui, Associate Director (Academic Administration) and Prof. Vincent C.K. Cheung, Assistant Professor of SBS. Apart from learning the CUHK’s education model, college system and support rendered to non-local students, the delegation also shared and exchanged ideas with us on conducting medical research and nurturing medical students. The visitors were led to tour around the CUHK campus before departure.
Indeed, our School has started academic exchange with Peking University since June 2014. In November 2016, they sent their postgraduate students to join the SBS Postgraduate Research Day 2016. It is our hope that the recent visit can further strengthen the foundation for both institutions to explore opportunities for educational and research collaborations in the future.
