Following the establishment of "The Chinese University of Hong Kong – Shandong University (CUHK-SDU) Joint Laboratory on Reproductive Genetics" (the Joint Laboratory) in December 2013, Prof. Zhang Rong, President of Shandong University, led a delegation to visit the CUHK on 27 March 2014.

During the visit, the delegation was first arranged to have meeting with the CUHK representatives, followed by visit to the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS). During their stay at SBS, Prof. Chan shared with the guests the latest development of the School and of the Joint Laboratory. Afterwards, the visitors were guided to tour the Core Laboratories and also the Joint Laboratory located on 7/F of the Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building.

The visit has further strengthened the partnership and collaborations between the two institutions under the framework of the Joint Laboratory.
