The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) recently hosted the Counsellor Fly-In Programme in Hong Kong from 13 to 15 March 2024. On 14 March, 29 high school counsellors from 9 countries, including Azerbaijan, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, South Africa, and Vietnam, visited the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) at CUHK.

Dr. Ann S.N. Lau, Admission Coordinator and Director of the BSc in Biomedical Sciences Programme cum Associate Director (Undergraduate Education) of SBS, gave an introductory presentation highlighting the Bachelor Programmes offered by the CUHK Faculty of Medicine, recent research advancements, and the vibrant student life on campus. The counsellors were then given a guided tour of the Core Laboratories to see the school's advanced research equipment and facilities.

Dr. Kanchan Rao Singh, a Lecturer, and Dr. Julia Macedo Rosa, an Assistant Lecturer, both of whom are foreigners in Hong Kong, also shared their experiences with the visiting counsellors.

We hope that the counsellors will share their experiences from this programme with their students, inspiring more aspiring minds to join CUHK in the future.
