To welcome new and current students to campus life, the Orientation cum the Staff-Student Consultative Meeting was hosted by the Master of Science Programme in Genomics and Bioinformatics (MSc Programme) on 17 September 2022 at Chung Chi College Staff Club, CUHK. It was well attended by around 60 students and academic staff of the School.

During the orientation, Prof. Andrew M. Chan, Director of SBS and Prof. Stephen K.W. Tsui, Associate Director (Research) of SBS and Director of the MSc Programme delivered welcome speeches to students, and encouraged them to strive for excellence and study proactively so as to contribute to the development of Hong Kong as a bioinformatics hub.

In the Staff-Student Consultative Meeting, students gained deeper understanding of the programme structure and teaching faculty, and exchanged their learning experience, embarking on their fruitful and enjoyable journey at SBS.
