Graduation Ceremony of the Master of Science Programme in Genomics and Bioinformatics

The 2022-23 Graduation Ceremony of the Master of Science Programme in Genomics and Bioinformatics (the MSc Programme) was held on 11 November 2023 in the Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building in Area 39, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, marking the successful completion of the Programme by its eleventh batch of MSc Programme graduates.

Professor Andrew M. Chan, the Director of the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS), Professor Woody W.Y. Chan, Associate Director (Graduate Education) of SBS, and Professor Stephen K.W. Tsui, the Associate Director (Research) of SBS and Programme Director of the MSc Programme, were invited to officiate at the ceremony. Prof. Andrew M. Chan and Prof. Woody W.Y. Chan presented the Award of Excellence with scholarship to three graduates who obtained outstanding academic performance. The Ceremony was followed by a group photo session and a light lunch, with the participation of around eighty attendees including graduates and their friends and relatives.

Recently, the MSc Programme is accredited by the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (HKAM) for serving as the credits provider of Continuing Medical Education (CME) for Fellows of the Academy. Besides, the MSc Programme has been included in the list of reimbursable courses under the Continuing Education Fund (CEF) and is recognized under the Qualifications Framework (QF Level [6]).

Prof. Stephen K. W. Tsui, the Associate Director (Research) of SBS and Programme Director of the MSc Programme, officiated at the ceremony.


Prof. Andrew M. Chan, the Director of the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS), presented the Award of Excellence with scholarship to our graduate Dr.LI Wai Yan Jamilla.
