The Board of Management of the Chinese Permanent Cemeteries (BMCPC) donated a sum of HKD1 million to support the "Silent Teacher – Body Donation Programme" and the ongoing enhancement of dissecting teaching in the Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in November 2014. The donation presentation ceremony was held on 28 November 2014. Prof. Hector S.O. Chan, Assistant Dean (Education), Faculty of Medicine and Coordinator of the Dissecting Laboratory in the School of Biomedical Sciences, represented the University to receive the donation cheque from Mr. Tsang Tak-sing, Secretary for Home Affairs, the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
We would like to express our whole-hearted appreciation for the generous support from the BMCPC. The donation gives great encouragement to our Dissecting Laboratory Team to continue with the commitment of providing students (especially medical students) with excellent and professional dissecting education, hence benefiting the public at large.
