The students of BSc in Biomedical Sciences Programme took part in the Summer Undergraduate Biomedical Research Attachment (SUBRA) 2023 organized by the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) between May to August 2023. Through an 8-week in-house programme, students in their junior years were given the opportunity to experience biomedical research in a practical, hands-on setting while being supervised by their research mentors, and enabled them to learn various laboratory techniques, maximise their potential, and think about prospective career paths.

With the support of 19 principal investigators of SBS who served as research mentors, a total of 18 Year 1 students, and six Year 2 students participated in the attachment. At the end of this year’s programme, poster presentations on their selected research topics were held on 25 August 2023. Prizes were awarded to the students with the most outstanding performance.
