Representatives from Robert Gordon University (United Kingdom), including Prof. Cherry L. Wainwright, Director, Institute for Health and Welfare Research, and Dr. Rachel Knott, Senior Lecturer, School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences, paid a visit to the School of Biomedical Sciences on 23 November 2010.
During the visit, Prof. Wainwright and Dr. Knott received a presentation on the overview of our School by Prof. Wai-Yee Chan, Director of SBS. They also met with other School members including Prof. Woody Chan, Associate Director (Graduate Education); Prof. Chi-Hin Cho, Associate Director (Research); Prof. Sun-On Chan, Dissecting Laboratory Coordinator; and Prof. Kenneth Lee, Managing Director of Core Labs, to exchange experience and explore possible collaborations in research and education. The guests toured the core laboratories and research facilities of the School after the meeting.
As a follow-up, Gordon Robert University has invited Prof. Lee to pay a return visit in February 2011 to discuss further collaboration in biomedical sciences.
