A delegation from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 26 April 2013. After meeting with Prof. Fok Tai-Fai and representatives from the Faculty of Medicine, CUHK, some of the delegates paid a visit to the School of Biomedical Sciences and met with our School members including Prof. Chan Wai-Yee, Prof. Kenneth K.H. Lee and Prof. Li Gang, followed with a guided tour to the core laboratories at the Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building.
Indeed, our School has already built up some connection with the University of Southampton since early 2011. This visit further strengthened our bondage and mutual understanding which will be conducive to academic and research collaborations between the two institutions. The University of Southampton has planned to visit our School again between 2 June 2013 and 4 June 2013 to discuss in detail the possible collaboration plans.
