The School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) received members of the Vice-Chancellor’s Global Alumni Advisory Board (GAAB) at the Lo Kwee-Seong Biomedical Sciences Building (LIBSB), the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 15 April 2018. The GAAB, comprising 12 distinguished CUHK alumni of different professions around the world, was newly formed this year and chaired by Prof. Rocky S. Tuan, the Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK, for engaging them in the University’s strategic development. To enable the GAAB members to learn the latest development of CUHK, a campus and facilities tour was arranged for them on that day morning.

During their visit to SBS, the GAAB members were warmly welcomed by Prof. Chan Wai-yee, SBS Director and other SBS members including Prof. Kenneth K. H. Lee, Managing Director of Core Laboratories and Chief of the Developmental and Regenerative Biology (DRB) Thematic Research Program, Prof. John A. Rudd, Managing Director of Animal Holding Core and Acting Director of Laboratory Animal Service Centre (LASEC), Prof. Andrew M. L. Chan, Chief of the Cancer Biology and Experimental Therapeutics (CBET) Thematic Research Program, followed by a tour of our investigators’ research laboratories and offices and the Core Laboratories. They were also introduced by the representative of Campus Development Office an architectural model showing the development outlook of Area 39 where the Lo Kwee-Seong Biomedical Sciences Building was located.
