Dr. Zhou Jingying, a Post-doctoral Fellow of the School of Biomedical Sciences, received the “National Scholar Award” in the United European Gastroenterology (UEG) Week 2016 held at Vienna, Austria between 15 and 19 October 2016. The National Scholar Award aims to identify and nurture promising young investigators aged under 35, with selection based on national society affiliation. Among all abstracts accepted for presentation, the highest scoring abstract per country is selected for the award. Dr. Zhou was the awardee in China in 2016 with the thesis titled “Hepatoma-intrinsic CCRK signaling promotes immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment by regulating myeloid-derived suppressor cell accumulation”.
