The Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences Programme (JS4550) is the new bachelor programme offered by the School and is admitting its first batch of students in 2016/17. On top of being broad-based, multidisciplinary, comprehensive and integrative, this Programme will best illustrate the relevance of basic biomedical science knowledge and research in the clinical, pharmaceutical and healthcare settings. It will also differentiate itself from other Life Sciences and local Biomedical Sciences Programmes with the enhancement of globalization and policy components, bioethics, and courses offered by or co-taught with other Departments or Schools within the Faculty of Medicine. The Major Electives are arranged as specific Concentration Areas (viz. Biomedical Research, Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship, Health Services and Consultation), supplemented by the relevant Experiential Learning activities. Such a unique range of courses is the first of its kind to be included in a biomedical science‐based undergraduate programme in Hong Kong which offers a range of options to students who are interested in research, health policy and pharmaceutical manufacturing management, and healthcare services.

The Programme is now available for both JUPAS and Non-JUPAS applicants. Please visit our Programme website (http://biomedsci.sbs.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/) for details about our programme.
