Agilent 6460 Triple Quadrupole LC/MS System

Features: - By using the Multiple Reaction Monitoring (MRM) method in this LC/MS system, a unique compound can be monitored and quantified in very complicated sample.

- Ion source: (i) Jet Stream Electron Spray Ionization (ESI) - for charged, polar compounds; mass range m/z 5-3000 (ii) Atmospheric-pressure Chemical Ionization (APCI) – for uncharged, low-polarity compounds.

- Standard columns: (i) RRHD C18 column, 2.1 x 100mm, 1.8 micron (ii) RRHD C18 column, 2.1 x 50mm, 1.8 micron (iii) RRHT C18 column, 2.1 x 50mm, 1.8 micron, 600Bar

- Autosampler : Sample capacity up to 108 of 2ml vials (in 2 x 54 vial plate) ; Injection range : 0.1-20ul in 0.1ul increments

Bruker UltrafleXtreme MALDI-TOF-TOF mass spectrometer

Features: Acquire protein/ peptide mass information through MALDI TOF TOF technology, proteins identified by matching with data base in mascot.

- Broadband mass resolving power up to 40,000 and 1 ppm mass accuracy for highest confidence.

- Scanning speed: 2 kHz speed in TOF mode and 1 kHz in TOF/TOF mode

- LID-LIFT process delivers MS/MS spectra with nominal mass resolution for peptides.

Features: Dionex Ultimate 3000 Nano-LC system

- Nano LC system designed to optimize low flow separations of protein / peptides for mass spectrometry to provide the best resolution, sensitivity, and selectivity for proteomics applications

- Associated with fraction collector Bruker Proteineer fcII to fractionate and spot fractions onto MALDI AnchorChip targets plate for MALDI TOF TOF protein identification

- Trap column: facilitate pre-concentration and cleaning of sample

- Low flow rate : very low flow rates possible, down to 20 nL/min

- Maximum pressure: available up to 620 bar

- Injection cycle times as low as 15 s

 

Bruker Proteineer fc II

- As a LC-MALDI fraction collector offline coupling of liquid chromatography (LC) to MALDI mass spectrometry (LC-MALDI)

- The system collects separated peptide samples from Dionex Nano- LC systems and deposits them on MALDI AnchorChip targets for MALDI TOF TOF protein identification

- Simultaneous preparation of both LC flow and supporting matrix solution enabled by sheath flow

- Four positions in MTP format for MALDI Anchor Targets or well plates and a position for matrix or washing solution.

- Fraction collection time: > 7 sec./fraction
